WordPress Japan閉鎖とWOZの今後について
Blog 3月 31st, 2008WordPress MEを開発・配布していたWordPress Japanが閉鎖されました。
私もWordPress ME愛用者の一員だっただけに非常に残念です。
ちなみにWordPress On ZenCart(WOZ)はWordPress MEのEUC版を前提に作成してましたが、WordPress Japanが閉鎖してしまい、EUC版を手に入れることができなくなってしまいました・・・
WordPressの日本語版は、WordPress 日本語ローカルサイトからダウンロードすることができますが、EUC版はありませんので、WOZの開発は次の2通りに分かれそうです。
- Zen-CartをUTF8にする
- WordPressのデータをEUCで表示する
どちらにしても最新版のWordPressを入れることはできますね。
１に関しては、有志の方がUTF8版のZen-Cartをリリースしたりはしてますが、
やはりシェアから考えるとEUC版のZen-Cartにあわせて、２のようにWordPressのデータを取り出す際にEUCで表示した方が現実的な気がします。
リリースを控えたモジュールもありますので、まだ対応は先になりますが、取り急ぎWOZの今後についてのご報告でした。
